Our vacation home was newly built in 2024 and furnished with great attention to detail. Everything is on one level in this modern L-shaped bungalow, and the decor is modern yet cozy in a Nordic style. The vacation home is situated between the national park and the Baltic Sea in an old, well-maintained estate park, through which you can walk just a few meters to reach Klausdorf’s sheltered, local natural swimming beach. The vacation home is 105 square meters and offers every conceivable comfort for 4 people. Both bedrooms are equipped with comfortable 180 x 200 cm box-spring beds and have large wardrobes. The larger bedroom has a bathroom with a large, walk-in shower; the second bedroom has a 32-inch smart TV. The second bathroom (also with a large, walk-in shower) is accessible via the hallway. Both bathrooms have natural light. The exterior shutters are electrically operated, and the windows have built-in fly screens. The open-concept living area combines living, dining, and cooking in one spacious room, and a 55" smart TV provides great entertainment. The fully equipped kitchen with a cooking island features high-quality appliances, including an induction stove, oven, refrigerator and freezer, coffee maker, toaster, and kettle.
From the living room, you can step out onto the 40-square-meter terrace, which is furnished with patio furniture and sun loungers. Thanks to its south-west facing position, you’ll enjoy sunshine almost all day long. In the utility room, you’ll find a washing machine, a clothes rack, a vacuum cleaner, and a high chair. The lockable garden shed provides secure storage for bicycles and a charging station for e-bikes. The property includes 2 private parking spaces. There is no visitor’s tax.
Bedding and towels are not provided as standard and can be booked individually (per person: 1 small towel, 1 large towel, 1 dish towel, 1 bath mat, 1 bed sheet, 1 bedding set).

Klausdorf is a well-known resort town located right on the Baltic Sea Cycle Route, allowing you to explore and enjoy nature on a bike ride along the Baltic Sea and the Bodden. The section from Klausdorf to Stralsund takes you through a varied landscape, always close to the Baltic Sea, past the small villages of Dabitz and Kinnbackenhagen, where you can enjoy the sea breeze and catch a glimpse of the island of Rügen before reaching the historic Hanseatic city of Stralsund. At approximately 1,000 kilometers, the Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route is one of the most popular bike paths in Germany.
You’ll reach the harbor town of Barhöft after about 3 km along a footpath right by the Bodden. There you’ll find a hotel and restaurant, a snack bar serving fish sandwiches, a small sandy beach, and a harbor with boat rentals and fresh fish sold straight from the boat. Heading south, you’ll reach the Stralsund beach resort after 10 km via the Baltic Sea Cycle Route; the city center of the Hanseatic metropolis is 2 km from there. Shopping for daily necessities is available in Prohn, 4 km away (Edeka, butcher, hairdresser, doctors, pharmacy, restaurants, etc.). The Hanseatic city of Stralsund is centrally located between the uniquely scenic island of Rügen, the wild and romantic Fischland/Darss peninsula, and the island of the imperial spas, Usedom.
Stralsund itself, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a wealth of historical sights, including religious and secular buildings in the Brick Gothic style, the charm of a coastal and trading city, and the Maritime Museum—which includes the Ozeaneum—a unique attraction in Germany.
